1.
What is unique about the care at IIMG and GNP (Greater Newport
Physicians)?
At IIMG, we believe healthcare decisions should be made by
doctors and patients, not Wall Street. That’s why we
joined GNP. As an independent practice association (IPA),
GNP remains physician-owned and unaffected by ongoing mergers
that have turned many healthcare providers into large, impersonal
conglomerates. This allows us to focus on patients, not profits.
2.
How can I be sure I’ll get quality healthcare at IIMG?
Our team is dedicated to ensuring you receive the highest
standard of care. But don’t just take our word for it
– in 2007, our medical group, GNP, was ranked one of
the top physician organizations in California. The ratings
were based on patient care, patient satisfaction, and investment
in information technologies that support quality care.
3.
Will you get my records from my previous group if I change
to IIMG?
Yes, you simply need to request that your records be transferred
from your current group. A release form is available in our
office, or you can click
here to download and print the form now.
4. How
big is the network of specialists associated with GNP and
IIMG?
In most cases, we can provide you with direct referrals to
more than 200 specialists without seeking authorization from
a committee first. This eliminates needless paperwork and
saves you valuable time as well.
5. Where
is the lab and X-ray department for IIMG?
Many laboratory tests and X-rays can be conducted on-site
for your convenience. There are also facilities at 4950 Barranca
Parkway, #101; 4050 Barranca Parkway, #120; and other locations
throughout Orange County.
6.
Can I go to a walk-in clinic on the weekends or after hours?
Yes, GNP offers access to Urgent Care Centers in Aliso Viejo,
Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, and Irvine. Click
here for locations.
7.
How can I select IIMG for my primary care?
First, verify that GNP is listed as a provider with your HMO.
If so, simply ask your HMO to enroll you with GNP as your
medical group (IPA) and select either Dr. Mikhail, Dr. Siskind,
or Dr. Hwang as your primary care physician.
8.
Can I make IIMG my provider if the rest of my family gets
their care from another group?
Yes. With GNP you may select one of IIMG’s physicians
to care for your entire family (age 15 and older) or choose
a separate family practitioner, internist, or pediatrician
for each member.
